Before You Order: Five Checks for Made-to-Order Apparel

A good product page should help you picture the garment and understand what you are ordering. Before you choose a size and check out, take a minute with five details. They are especially useful when the item is decorated after an order is placed.

1. Read the selected color's details

Do not assume every color has the same fiber blend. The Terminal Works Tee, for example, lists a cotton-polyester blend for Carbon Grey. Another shirt with a similar-looking graphic may use a different blank entirely. Read the description for the item in your cart.

2. Check the measurement table

Use the table for that product, not a remembered size from another purchase. Notice whether the numbers describe the garment or your body, and whether the table uses inches or centimeters. If you are ordering a hoodie and joggers together, make the two size decisions separately.

Keep any fit note in view. The Basecamp Fleece Hoodie listing, for example, includes the supplier's note that this hoodie runs small. Compare its measurements with a layer you like rather than relying on the word large alone.

3. Know the decoration and placement

Look for the words print or embroidery, then check where the design sits. A supplier digital mockup illustrates the configured product; it is not a photograph of the specific garment that will arrive. Read the image text and product details together.

4. Separate production from shipping

For a made-to-order item, production happens before shipping. Printful explains that fulfillment time and shipping time are separate parts of the delivery estimate, and estimates can change with current conditions. 5. Read the store's policies

Review the shipping policy and refund policy before paying. Do not assume a made-to-order purchase has the same exchange process as another store. If something is unclear, contact office@truckingapparel.com with the product name and your question.

Finish by checking the selected size, color, quantity, address, and checkout total. A clear order starts with a clear choice.
